ChLA Centennial Studies

ChLA’s Centennial Studies series celebrates classic children’s texts, defined as books that have stood the test of time and played a significant role in the development of the field. Devoted to a single work of literature or a series of related titles, the series features original scholarly essays commissioned by each volume’s editor. Earlier books in the series included collections of essays on The Secret Garden, The Wind in the Willows, Peter Pan, and Peter Rabbit

Interested in editing a new volume in our series? Proposals should be submitted at least two years before the 100th anniversary of the text they wish to feature.

Download the Proposal for Centennial Studies series form.

The final decision on acceptance of all proposals lies with the ChLA Publications Advisory Board and with the University Press of Mississippi.
