Submissions for the ChLA Graduate Student Essay Award are now being accepted. Submissions should demonstrate familiarity with previous scholarship and they should contain original, distinctive ideas. They should conform to MLA style. They should be at least 10 pages in length and should not exceed 25 pages, including notes and works cited.
Nominations should be submitted on behalf of the graduate student author by a member of ChLA and must be accompanied by a cover letter from that member. Only two submissions per ChLA member will be accepted. Please include both the member's and the student's email and street addresses with submissions. Award winners will receive a $100 prize and the opportunity to present the winning essay at the annual ChLA meeting.
The deadline for submissions is February 1, 2008 for a paper written during 2007.
